This conference is an enriching virtual meeting of cryogenic-related topics exchanging recent state-of-the-art developments in all areas of cryogenics, including superconductivity, cryocoolers, cryogenic materials, and applications. The conference spans the week of July 19th - 23th, 2021. The "master control" and your control station will be out of my living room in Lakewood, CO 80214 where a computer will be provided to you along with a headset. The hours vary  each day, roughly an 8 hour day, each day. However, there will be a large 5-6 hour gap between the morning session and the evening session and some early mornings. You'll be issued a Zoom account for set up and recording. The settings for your Zoom account are specific and will be sent in a tutorial format to follow along and change the account default settings. You'll be asked to create the meetings (or sessions) in your Zoom account, that you'll be responsible for facilitating, based on the conference schedule. There will be a moderator assigned to your meeting to help with moderating each session. Most of the sessions are oral sessions and poster sessions. Poster sessions have several breakout rooms and you'll be required to play a rolling video/directory for each breakout room. The entire conference will be embeded into and played through Whova, which is a platform that allows registration and attendee experience. You will not need to worry about this as all the Zoom meeting links will be created by you and the link will be embeded into this platoform for your meeting.

  • Tuesday July 20th, 2021:
    • Call-time: 6:45 am - 11:15 & 3:15 pm - 7:45 pm (MST)
  • Wednesday July 21st, 2021:
    • Call-time: 6:45 am - 11:15 & 3:15 pm - 7:15 pm (MST)
  • Thursday July 22nd, 2021:
    • Call-time: 5:45 am - 10:00am & 3:15 pm - 7:45 pm (MST)
  • Friday, July 23rd,  2021:
    • Call-time: 6:45 am - 11:15 am (MST)

Duties as a Technician:
  1. Playing back any videos, including pre-show slide-roll (at the beginning of the
    session), pre-recorded presentation videos, and being available during the poster
    session while running the directory.
  2. “Spotlighting” speakers, session chairs and panelists during the plenary and oral
    sessions, before and during Q&A, not including the poster sessions.
  3. Assisting session chairs in the facilitation of the session, including main zoom rooms for posters.
  4. Recording each plenary/panel and oral session, including Q&A, and uploading the recording to CEC-ICMC’s Google Drive.
  5. Setup the zoom meetings for all sessions and creating breakout rooms for the poster sessions
